Is your fear holding you back from flying? What would happen if you took the first step towards your dream? How would your life be different if you did the thing you dream of doing or live the life you wished you could? It’s time to let go of your fear.
It’s time to break free of your limitations and fly. Go for it. You can do it, one step at a time. No matter if you stumble, get up and try again. Keep moving forward.
But suppose I mess up? What if I fail? I’ll look really silly. If that’s what you’re saying to yourself, then you need to visit your child-self once again; the time when you were learning to walk.
Remember the mindset of your child-self. No matter how many times you stumbled, no matter how many times you fell, you cried, got up again and kept going until now you’ve mastered the art of walking.
Living your dream is no different. It only takes the courage and determination of your child-self to do once again what you’ve done in the early stages of your life. Use these transferable skills in your adult life to help reach your goals and live your dream.
Yes, it is true that as a child you were not yet exposed to other people laughing at you or saying that you’ll never make it or you’re a loser for wanting to live your dream. But because you are older you can decide what’s important to you. Is your dream worth it?
Are you going to allow the mental obstacles that people try to put on you, because of their own fears and insecurities, be the decision-maker in your life? You know it is your life and you are the one that will have to live with any regrets or victories.
So when you think about quitting remember your child-self and push one more time, try a different angle, cry a little if you get hurt, but get back on track and onto living your dreams.
You have what it takes to achieve your goal. And whatever resources you need to help you along the way will come to you.
Keep in mind that there’s a growth process. Just as a child goes from learning to roll over to crawling to walking then running and jumping, living your dream goes through the growth process. You become stronger as you practice and when you master each step you advance to the other. Each part builds on the other. Be patient with yourself.
Knowing this will help you through the initial stages when you feel like you may be messing up along the way. Take courage and fly.
